The Ouachita River begins at the base of Rich Mountain near Mena, Arkansas and makes its way to Lake Ouachita at Highway 27 with about 43 miles of river that can be paddled.  Great river for Family adventure with Class 1 rapids.

  • River crossing off Highway 88, about 1 mile east of Pine Ridge
  • Highway 379 crossing about a mile south of Oden
  • Rocky Shoals Recreational Area campground southeast of Pencil Bluff off Highway 270

  • Fulton Branch Recreational Area
